11 months & 22 days.
Well well... don't you think its too long. Yeah you might ask me, why did i mention the time duration. It has been solid 11months and 22days I survived/run my days without any meds. Here we start, have you seen some people, slightest headache, they'll stop by at nearest pharmacy, buy a panadol pack and consume it. Or some worst cases (from my view), they need a doctor visit for sure. Bare in mind that as long as you are being ignorant about your health, no medicine or doctor in the world can save you. True story huh...
Now as I always say, life is an experimental lab. Why do i say so? Have you succeeded on something difficult on the 1st time of trial. Perhaps no, maybe a yes. But mostly, we'll at least give it a try few times before the attempt is successful. Similarly, it is important to know how your body works. After all, health is wealth. And me, I wanted to know how far my body's endurance level is. Let me explain..
What is endurance?
➡️ the ability endure/ go through a difficult period or process without skipping any part of it.
And so I started this small scale of experiment on my body, I consumed less sugary food products, almost no ice waters, avoided late night food consumption, slept accordingly, core strengthening exercises, and most importantly good diet. And on my busy days, I shift onto relaxing mode activity. Out for a walk or a meet up. Window shopping.. hell yes. Again... trick your mind. Don't you think its favourable for us to know how our body works.
Test your ability to withstand pain. How long can you endure the pain. Recognise when you feel hungry, when do you feel sleepy or what can you do if you starts to feel unhappy. Ask & reward yourself.
Let's go back to the square, when you are having an headach, do not reach out for any meds. Hold on, go anywhere quite, relax yourself, drink any fruit juice that you like(kindly avoid coffee, coffee is not a best mate here). Try to get nap. Or listen to any music that you like. Uh hun... well, all I'm saying is DIVERT YOUR MIND. Yes, keep saying to yourself that you are fine. The pain won't last long, have you heard of this term "what you hold onto the longest, is what you'll get". So focus on little things that divert your attention.
Eventually your headache will vanish away. This trick or technique is applicable to any mild pain/health problem. Even fever, stomach ache, loss of appetite, insomnia and stress.
I feel my experience of 11months is worth sharing, especially when we learn to control our body and not being dependable to any meds. Consume good foods, healthy diet. In long term it'll reward your body.
Why i stopped the experiment? Just lil more to celebration of a year with out any med consumption, I got viral fever attack from one of my colleague and due to injection after a blood test. And so, the journey stopped. Nevertheless, I'll do this experiment more efficiently next.
